To find exhaustion gaps, we need to apply two filters:

Gaps

  • Price Gapped Up; within the last 1 or 2 days

Filter For Extended Trends

We then need to apply one or more of the following three filters to identify extended trends:

% Price Move

  • 1 Month; Minimum 10 (%)

Bollinger Bands

  • 20 or 50 Day; Minimum 200

Directional Movement

  • ADX Value; Minimum 40 or 50
